    Fuel Gauge Not Working

Okay - this is a 1961 Swiss S404.1 fuel gauge question. Posting new question here because I can't find this anywhere else. Installed a sending unit in my 1961 Swiss Unimog S404.1. Then trying to add gauge to instrument panel. How is the gauge wired? Three tabs on gauge: + - & unmarked...

    Installing new horn s404.1 unimog

Bob, Thanks, the horn now works great, and I see what you meant about the sound. Tested it at the auxiliary power outlet by the drivers door; great access to 24 volts. And another project is completed. V/R, Chris

    Installing new horn s404.1 unimog

Okay, Just got the new horn. Need guidance about how to install it - the wiring. Wire coming out bottom of steering wheel cut off. Which terminal on the new horn - no markings - just 2 small screw connections on the bottom. I assume the ground is the chassis, so which of the two connections...

using a military antenna with am/fm radio

Here are pictures. Note in the last one, there are several connectors with the bottom most projection with the exposed screw head is a knob that has several different "clicks," I assume to select between the various connectors. I have no idea which connector is for what kind of radio. V/R, Chris

    Dashboard access S404.1

Okay, maybe I'm very dense. How do you access the dashboard of a Unimog S404.1 so you can replace the ignition switch, light switch, speedometer, etc.? If from the engine compartment, since there doesn't seem to be anyway to access from the cab, what has to be removed? Also, any tips on...

'm back with good news for those w/M101A1 trailers. Use Timken parts! They have the bearings & Seals: Bearing-Wheel, large: Timken 28682 Bearing-Wheel, small: Timken 2984 Seal, Inner Hub Oil: Timken 417485 (equivalent to C-R28116) Once it's back on its "feet" I'll post pictures. Chris Watson

    Show us your Military Trailers

Probably not the correct thread, but I'm desperate! Cannot find seals to go with new bearings on my M101A1 (yes, that's what the data plate states it is). My mechanic has tried 6 different seals including the govt. part number (it's too small), and the NAPA 49426 seems to no longer be...
