I was looking into a BTR-60 yesterday and am sure they mentioned the transmission was meant to be pre-shifted into the next gear and depressing the clutch engaged the new gear while making a hissing noise like an air solenoid. I could be mistaken but distinctly remember thinking "how odd"...
Jeeze. I have trouble finding parts for anything and he 'stumbles' over these winch bumpers while looking for a howitzer?
Seriously dude. I think I hate you a little bit.
Envy too.
As cheap insurance you can do one other thing too. When you replace your heater core and rubber hoses, refill it with a Quality antifreeze and distilled/bottled water. Like the kind in the 5gal jugs at the store or the 1 gallons in the water/pop aisle. They contain no minerals, flouride or salt...

Good to see it went to a good home. I looked at that one too but wasn't able to come up with the money in time. Looking forward to updates. I live 2.5 hours north of you and am still trying for a M135. Keep us posted as to how things are going. Not enough "Canadian Content" :)
Saw on GC Surplus (www.pwgsc.gc.ca) that they are scrapping 4 Leopard tank bodies and 5 turrets. What a shame. Make the cuts thin so we can weld them back together please. Bidding starts at $1000 canadian so far. Scrap metal prices.
Great looking rig. Thank you for taking the time to post the pictures. As a noob I am still looking for my first Deuce but already knew that I wanted to do the same tire modifications to it that you have just done. Great to see it in living color. Fans the flames so to speak.
