Im not sure if this will help but these are pics of our wiper motor wiring setup. This is how we have it, and it has been working since we cleaned everything up and whacked the motor with a wrench hahaha (really out of frustration we hit the motor and suddenly it started working):cookoo:

1) Yes you can change the system, but you'd prob be better off just to keep it 24V
2) Gas milage isnt that bad. It depends on local/highway 18 to 23 isnt out of the ordinary. I wouldnt take the CUCV over 65mph.
3) I dont see why you couldnt do that...

I am having a serious problem!! I put the CUCV into 4wd today for the impending snow in the northeast (again). Everything seemed fine at first. The Hubs are in Lock the lever in 4hi. Upon turning the wheel all the way to the right and driving the right rear tire locked. Same with the wheel to...
It looks like the part number you need is 36-4054-Z This is from LMC truck. You might be able to go to autobarn and see if they have one in stock or can order one for a cheaper price than lmc. Check out lmctruck.com and search for wiper motor. The part number is for a new motor & pump.
Ok so we got everything working perfectly...how we got it working is another story...We hooked everything up properly without running new wires, regreased with diaelectric grease replaced and fluid resevour, and gave the motor a whack with a set of channel lock pliers and it started to work...
