Thanks! I had the part number from the towing guide. When I searched, only the 3/4” pin size foot would show up. Both of the links for the 3/4” and 1” show the same number on your site. That’s why I didn’t find it.
Not sure why I didn’t see them the first time but when I searched “military tow bar feet”, I found a set on eBay. Decent price too. Hopefully the description was accurate.
Anybody know where I can find the 1” feet for a medium towbar? The one I have is the 3/4” for the Humvee and I’d like to use it on the M35. I’ve searched but guess I haven’t used the right part number or combination or words.
Just ran across the old thread and realized I never updated it. I bought a NOS exhaust manifold and gaskets and was able to fix the exhaust leak. I also decided to try a diesel transmission with OD. At the same time, I realized I had a broken pressure plate so it snowballed into a clutch disc...
I didn’t recognize the user name but I recognize the truck and the 6BT in the pics. I’ve probably watched every one of your videos and many of them at least twice. Thank you for taking the time to document everything! It was extremely helpful when replacing my front axle seals and boots. When...
Post some specifics. Pictures and part numbers are always appreciated. I like the Delco idea because I can get one at Napa if necessary. I also have no accessories so 70 amps is plenty for now but another option is good to have info on.
I can confirm that this pulley works just fine with the listed alternator and factory belt length. I completed the install yesterday. The only issue I had was the threaded part of the shaft was extra long and the fan blades just barely hit it while turning. I removed a few threads with a flap...
I was vigilant and kept searching marketplace and found a cutoff frame section that had the engine, transmission, transfer case and a winch setup. This weeks project was to swap everything over. It was a deal I couldn’t pass up. Only thing left to install is the actual winch and PTO shaft. I’m...
Update for people searching: Anything under 900 rpm and it would surge and pop back in the intake. The number 6 piston galled to the cylinder and lost compression creating a lot of blowby and smoke from the road draft tube. Almost didn’t make it back to the shop. I think the hard start issue was...
Thanks! I’m loving it so far. Hopefully it drives like I think it will. I did 4 tires in about 3 hours but I had some younger help and a forklift otherwise they would still not be done. I was struggling to stand it up off the floor! They still have the beadlock /runflats but at least the...
I made a little more progress on my bobber project. I reconnected the glad hands and rear taillight wiring and it all works! I was off work all last week so that’s when the conversion started. Rebuilt the rear brakes while flipping the hubs and rebuilt the parking brake while the bed was off...
Well, I found out the steering shaft is 7/8”-20 thread …. And it’s not a normally stocked size. I tried to change the steering wheel to an 18” version and my makeshift puller that I had pushing against the nut actually crushed the threads on one side. It worked perfectly on the 53 but this one...
