What are you going to be reverse engineering? Like has been said the FDC being bypassed is a great plus for these trucks. There is NO reason to ever put it back the way the government had it. It was used so the motor would have the same horsepower output regardless the fuel that was used. Now...

I build decks and can say without doubt...DO NOT use trex type stuff....that stuff HAS to be supported every foot, and even then if it gets a lot of sun it WILL bend like crazy!! set in the hot sun is actually how you get it to "soften" up a bit so you can make those pretty curves in fancy decks.

Well, personally I don't think so....If the motor is running the air compressor intake will also be trying to grab air from the air cleaner, so I doubt you can pull air backwards to the motor side Of course all of this is dependent on how air tight everything is....more likely you will collapse...
