I’ve had my A2 for a half dozen years and would not trade it for anything Else.

Anyone else face this problem? Headlight wiring and ground check OK, but keep blowing low beam on pax side headlight. Eventually also lose high beam. Stumped....

So, we're back on the road, thanks to the good folks in the Columbia Chapter. Some serious tweaking and rebuilding the rebuilt carburetor! Yes, there seem to be problems with carb rebuilds on the market. As you can see...the kids at the car show are enjoying the MUTT..

Pvt Hotdog, The MUTT is with the club members in Columbia, SC for triage. We'll see what kind of insight they have, hopefully this week. It is now beyond my capabilities!

I have a new pair of cotton straps for my MUTT's bow. Also have four fastening pins. So, in the absence of any evidence of an earlier strap installation, how do I attach them? Anyone have a diagram or pictures - or good description? Thanks!!

We used a rebuilt carb. We've put in new plugs and Monday will replace the spark plug cables, distributor cap and rotor. Running out of options. So weird in that the issue involves getting the engine to fire from a cold start. Once we get it rolling and the engine warmed up, it starts up...

We're not through with this yet. Still starting issues. Replaced plugs and batteries. Replaced coil (twice). Cleaned out distributor and contacts. The starter turns with much vigor, but the system won't fire for a good minute of turning episodes, it it fires at all. So frustrating...

Where di you get your back flow prevention valve (that's what we call them in utilities). Do you have a mfr and p/n, too? Thanks!!

Well, we put a new carb in it and it runs good. Except, now it is slow to start. The starter turns for a good 60 second plus, before there is fire in the hole. Thoughts?

All great ideas. We've done many off the things you suggested and Monday will replace the carb. I shall not be defeated!!!
