thanks for the input. anyone ever tried rewinding the transformer?

the only thing I have found so far is there is a metal box in the cabinet doors to the right of the control panel that has a burnt transformer. not sure what it is for but its likely the problem or at least a symptom of the problem. do you happen to know what it is and where I can get another...

I have a military generator mep-005 30KW with no power output. it produces power when the start switch is held on but as soon as it is released the power goes off. I have held it on for over a minute with no luck. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks
