    Spare parts question

Maybe he is referring the diodes in the voltage regulator. They can be damaged in some cases by very high voltage spikes. I posted awhile back on how to change out those diodes and upgrade them to higher voltage rating. I’ll have to go find it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Alternator not charging 802a

Nope. Not adjustable. I was using a clamp to compress the valve and it slipped off. Bent it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    802 running on one cylinder

Update. I had two problems. Got a bad injector sent to me and I bent an exhaust valve. I lapped a new valve in and got a replacement injector and now this thing runs stronger than I imagined. New fluids and stress tested it and I was able to pull 7,400 watts of resistive load before the motor...

    802 running on one cylinder

Yup. That’s all correct. It started with me addressing dry rotted fuel lines, then digging in to clean it up and see why I thought I had some blowby (I thought it was bad so wanted to check and make sure I didn’t have a cracked piston. Long story). Took the injectors which looked awful to a...

    802 running on one cylinder

Thanks for the info. I already did the poor mans compression test that you mentioned with an air compressor and 100psi. No noticeable leaks from either cylinder. Some, but very little air down into the crankcase. That was at TDC and rockers still attached (valves closed). And yes I waited for...

    802 running on one cylinder

Idk if it was the wrong one. I’ll have to pull them and cross check numbers. One injector came in a nice new, clear plastic bag. The other injector, the bag was all faded yellow like it had been sitting on a shelf for several years. I also need to check valve height like you said. My fear is...

    802 running on one cylinder

Help me! My 802 is only running on one cylinder. This all started after I pulled the head off and cleaned the valves, their seats and the top of the pistons. The injectors are brand new Onan brand injectors. I keep getting white smoke from one cylinder. For testing I swapped the injectors...

    Alternator not charging 802a

Bought these on amazon. I’ll let y’all know if they work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Alternator not charging 802a

Now the next problem, I have a cylinder that is not making enough compression to fire off. Puffing white smoke from it. I think I have an exhaust valve sticking. That’s my home at least. The other scenario is either I bent the valve at some point or my piston rings are shot. I really don’t want...

    Alternator not charging 802a

Yeah I got that. I was looking for a commercial part number but I think I found something on Amazon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Alternator not charging 802a

It was the fuse. Anyone know if it is a fast or slow blow? Maybe a general part number? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have not. I’ll have to look there this evening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Alternator not charging 802a

So fired up my 802a tonight after some major overhaul work and the alternator doesn’t appear to be charging? Anywhere to start looking first? Here’s the backstory. I took the head off and cleaned the top of the pistons, heads, and valves. New head gasket. New injectors (the old ones were pretty...

    Aftermarket fuel injectors

Ok. Thanks for the info. I’m having that internal battle about dropping the money on brand name injectors when this is just a backup to the house when we lose power. Yet I hate cheaping out on stuff because it often results in more headache. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
