I pulled my m35a2 at the local fair last summer an had no problem , just put her in low range 1st gear 6x6 an stepped on it an went bout 300 feet with no weight just bare truck .:grd:
Yeah that should work for ya taking 12 volts from one battery then ya can just go to the parts store and get a new controller , that way you can run it on a seperate system from the rest of the truck them glowplugs should only burn for bout 10 seconds or soo
Well the bolt removal went slow but i managed to get them dug out, i run a tap in all of them an they seem to be ok i got the flywheel reinstalled the new pilot bearing in an the pressure plate a clutch disc back in now all i'm waiting on is throw out bearing , should be back in operation the...
Yup that sucks when ya ain't got a place to run it in an work on them . I don't know if that the proper way to get it off but it worked for me , just be carefull you don't pry to hard an crack it cuz it is an aluiminum go easy an it will come off for ya .
Just bend the the retainer locks back an remover the bolts an use a small prybar between the bellhousing an the retainer theres a space in there u can pry against an pop it off.
I got the tranny out no problem I just used an old tranny jack that was made for taking tranny's out of semi's it wasn't tall enough to reach so i just set a couple wooden 4x4's on top of it an it worked great , Well theres good news an bad news the crank is ok but i have to dig out 3 of the 6...
Im workin on taking the tranny out now so i'll see whats all screwed up from being run loose , I'm hoping that it didn't mess the threads in the crank but i'll know more when i get it apart .
Ok that makes me fell a little better that im not the only one with this noise . I've dug pretty deep into mine , i've taken the front cover off thinkin it was something under there , i've got the pan off now lookin at the rod bearings and the rist pins i've checked 3 out of the 6 an nothing...
I've got a chattering noise at idle but goes away when u bring it up to 1500rpm in the front of my engine it's a LDT 465 1C 1972, I think i've narrowed it down to the front cover , is there any common problems in that area like one of thoses nut's coming loose on the cam gear or the injection...
