What would you charge for a steering gear and spring pack replacement?

Final update and wrap-up This whole ordeal was a NIGHTMARE! From the other driver originally lying and telling their insurance that it was my fault, to the insurance company telling me that a snapped sector shaft is a "wear and tear" item, to actually finding someone who was willing to look at...

    M35A2 converting to super singles

I’ve purchased from Feltz before - pretty easy to work with. The adapters I bought from Boyce Equipment in Utah. They were closer to me and I was able to have a family member pick them up and save me the shipping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What would you charge for a steering gear and spring pack replacement?

Ok, quick update... Insurance company has claimed 100% liability, so that's good. Now the next step - they have no clue how to value the damages because it's considered a "specialty" vehicle. They want me to try and get some estimates to repair, or draft up a parts and price list myself and...

What would you charge for a steering gear and spring pack replacement?

Ok, long story short - Last night I was involved in a front-end collision. Everybody is fine, no injuries. It was the other guy's fault, so I will be working with their insurance to get everything fixed up. The impact was directly to my driver's front wheel. The only thing I can see for sure is...

    MRAP wheels

MRAP wheels have an offset that places the lug bolts closer to the outside of the rim. If your hubs aren’t flipped, then the wheels need to be spun 180 degrees to get them closer to lining up with the front wheels. So they would appear deeper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    MRAP wheels

I am guessing he didn’t flip his rear hubs and the wheels are dish out instead of dish in?? If that is the case, you need to remove the rear hubs and flip them so the tires all line up and then you can run the adapter plates the same way as the fronts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    MVPartsStore spin on

Yes! I run this exact kit. Kit works perfectly, and you couldn’t ask for a more complete package... HOWEVER ... you have start from the understanding that no two deuces are the same! With that being said, I had to go to the hydraulic hose store twice to finish the install. So keep in mind...

    Vegas pickup times

Make sure to coordinate with whoever the contact is locally... even though my item release said m-f 800-1400, local contact said w-th 900-1300 only (different location, not NV). Kinda messed with my planning too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where are you guys picking up deuces these days?

GSA auctions. google them... government surplus, usually from forest service, etc.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Lol, no... didn’t loose a bet :) I haven’t changed the fluid since I’ve had the truck (about a year), and everyone knows you can’t trust that the “last guy” ever did any maintenance... so just to put my mind at ease, I put it on the schedule and took care of it. Now I KNOW when the fluid was...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Just drained/refilled gear oil in all three differentials, transmission, and transfer case. Next up: remove and repack bearings on all 6 hubs... not looking forward to that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Power Driven Diesel Air Filter Restrictive?

I don’t have any experience with that particular filter, but based on those numbers, I would come to the same conclusion - too restrictive. A less restrictive filter will lead to lower egt numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
