This sounds like a similar experience I had with Gillespie CARC substitute. These paints don’t use a catalyst and there for need to fully air cure and bake out. Once they are fully cured they are durable but it takes some hot summer weeks.

Do these valves have a service life? Is there an aftermarket solution for replacement? I would imagine neglected brake systems can have these valves seize up and loose functionality.

A high quality 50/50 standard coolant mix has worked well for me with both aftermarket aluminum radiators and in marine applications that use a mix of aluminum and bronze cooling system parts.
