Ok folks I decided to revitalize this post. Today I went to home depot and ordered the paint mentioned in this post. After that was lowes and a hvlp paint gun. Wow! My cucv is looking good with the first coat on! A write up and pictures will follow this week!
Ok boys here's the deal. I just got my 1009 from Nellis last week, sorry no post until now and I promise I will upload pics. The short and skinny is that no, Nellis is not banging up your rigs intentionally. Mine came with no holes. The best thing to do is just get it on a trailer or have it...
Ok so I know it may be bad ju-ju to post a web site on the forum so moderator please remove if necessary but I thought one of you guys might want to check this out for towing.

I made one 3 days ago to get my CUCV from Nellis. I used a cheapo from Uhaul and made an adapter at my local 4wheel shop. all said and done $80. I can send you pics if you want. **** if you were closer I would just mail you the darn thing.
If it comes through El Paso let me know. I can serve as a rest stop or a driver to maybe Phoenix or so. I know a few guys out that way who may be willing to drive it the rest of the way to San Diego.
Thanks for the help. I ran into some technical difficulties of picking up my truck but they are being resolved now. What type of batteries do you suggest for the m1009. I have been thinking of doing a 12v coversion but I am still on the fence.
