Tank cleaned out, coated with Caswell plating epoxy folllowing Ray's direction and reinstalled.
Cylinders emptied of water, cleaned, engine released
Head cleaned and machined remounted with the rockers
Injector pump degunked and...

I found the PC mark - it was rusted so a little bit difficult to see - see below.
The gear was still turning but with significant resistance and pushing the cap in was very difficult. So I put some Chemtool into the fuel intake hole and gently shoke the whole assembly from side...
Also the gear on the pump is rotating but you need some amount of pressure to move it - is this normal? Not sure what you meant by "freely".
Trying to avoid opening the IP if possible...

Worked on this last night. The code inside the bellhousing is "B" - is that correct or should I continue rotating looking for "PC". From the TM they are not clear about this but they have a Table 7.1 with different letters...

I did notice that it took over a day for the MMO and Blaster mix to drain even after cleaning out the rust in the cylinder. It definite held the fluid without any appreciable loss in 10 miniutes. I will redo it with diesel just in case the viscosity is significantly...

Yes it was rusted but honing it made it smooth to touch and the pistons move freely with little effort when you rotate the flywheel. The pictures show some discoloration.
How do I check for stuck piston rings?
Yes, I think if i can put it all back together it will work. I will need continued guidance from you guys.
