Fuel Injection Pump Slow Drip -- Anything to Try Before Removing the Pump?

I'll be changing this on mine soon with the pump in place, good to see the plunger isn't very long. This advance is a different design from the Deere spec DB2 pumps I usually work on, those don't have an external light-load advance lever and plunger. My valley was full of water when I got the...

    Glow Plug Replacement

MAC and HPG carry the real ones, the 10mm hex are always junk. I've even seen Chinese junk ones in Delco boxes that had fake Wellman cage codes.

    2006 M1097R1 Insurance in Texas

Mine is also a 2006, serial number about 100 from yours. State Farm gave me full coverage with an agreed value. It's listed as an antique, less than 5000 miles per year, so I had to send a bunch of pictures in. They call it a sport wagon :ROFLMAO:

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

My 1097R1 had some work done to it. Someone had swapped out the stuck start switch, leaving the old one on the floor and never hooking the light switch wiring back up when done. There was also a new looking Nartron yellow label box installed, with the used KDS S3 in the back of the truck ( not...

    What oil do you use?

Yes, I actually pay for it. :ROFLMAO: The bulk is 32 cents per quart cheaper than the buckets. Our business has a tanker which will fill tanks on the farm as well. Edited to correct price difference.

    What oil do you use?

I use John Deere 15W40, mostly because I'm a Deere mechanic and it's cheap in bulk at work.

    ECV Aluminum radiator review

Nice. I've had a Champion radiator in a Cummins repowered 1950 pickup for 10 years with no problems.

Is this a typo mistake or it’s possible?

My 3 speed 1097R1 has a 242 case made in '05 when it was refurbished. My truck started out as a '93 M998, so probably a 218 back then.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Definitely! My plain old 1097R1 with a soft top didn't ride bad with 30 PSI TP in the MT's, but the rear seat backs would bang around even on rough pavement before I put the rhino on. Pretty smooth now and way better on gravel washboards.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I got my rhino from him a few weeks ago and it was an easy fix. Installed it recently and just finished aligning the rear end to get rid of the extreme camber. It's amazing how much smoother the truck rides with a couple hundred pounds hanging out behind the bumper!

    Runflat Lubricant alternatives

I smeared a thin film of Murphy's tire mounting compound around the inside of the tire, pointless I'm sure. I carry a spare, so I'll never drive on a flat anyway.

What have you done to your JEEP today

Finished assembling my T90 with a sealed input bearing, and installed it with a new clutch disk and pressure plate. Took it for a test drive today, so much smoother without gear oil all over the clutch!

current Rhino/Rico spare tire carrier value?

I bought one from beltfed this week for $800, just missing the mounting bolts and pivot retaining bolt. He's been listing a couple per month in various conditions.

    Bad day for an M52A1

A little update on this thread.. While looking for a replacement truck, the VFD found out a neighboring town had one in storage that hadn't run for 3 years. Upon inspection they found it was an M54A1! They got the OK from the town and the DNR and secured the truck. I found the IP had a stuck...
