Yeah I bought the Stallion model. I thing some of the wiring might be chinese crap though. The electrical covers faded fast and it just has that look. The motor seems ok, but I think even Warn parts are chinese now...
I did this in summer here in Norwest WA. A maintenence friend gave me used tires. I made a bead breaker out of a vw jetta bumper and changed them all to singles. I like them for height and rpm loss at 60 mph. Power stayed same to me. Tire and wheel weight is about the same (believe it or not)...
I added brake lights on and kept the old ones too. The prius drivers can still see the old ones so they have four stop lights to see now. I think they might need six though.....
I was going to try putting a 6x6 (haha) steel bumper on the ol m35. I think it might be ok, maybe cut it out more for the hitch that I never use though..
I also bought the 500 amp fuse but just ran the main lead to the starter bat side because the bat terminal was too far. Anyone who reads this should know you can run 12 volt stuff off the first battery just fine... I have a solenoid and a heater motor wired to it. I bet you could run a smaller...
[Some other pictures. I was not real impressed with the sherpa chrome and plastic parts.... Looks real China rust and fade in a year to me... my welds were about as bad though haha. I basically bolted the winch horizontal right through the bumper with the inside two bolts and made a 6x6 (haha)...
These worked pretty good on the M35. The lights are par 64 1000 watt halogen 28 volt. The cans are cut down stage lights that smelled like cigarette smoke. I used a 12v starter relay off first battery and put a rocker switch by the front diff lock in cab. Lights are 500000 lumens each. 70 amp...
