I have a 1996 H1 Hummer (6.2 n/a diesel)....Does anyone know if the headlamp buckets and retaining ring are the same as for the M35? Getting a full paint job done and these parts are pretty rusted. Anyone got a source for these that ships to Canada?

    M135 windshield removal

Hey APM, I know exactly where Angus is..right on the road to Borden! The guy who did the windows is a volunteer at our museum. Does the work on his own time. He just did a great job refinishing an Iltis and M101 trailer. You could eat off it. If you need something done, I am sure I could put...

    M135 windshield removal

Thanks for the advice, but i don't think there is enough room to do that. There is barely enough to get an open end wrench in to put on the heads that are there. Just looking at the manual, might be easier to remove the whole windshield assemly, then deal with the frames on the workbench.

    M135 windshield removal

After a successful restoration of a 1984 Iltis and M101 trailer, we are moving onto the M135. A quick test has shown us that the motor is good, and work is underway. The windshield, both frames, are not in good shape. They are rusted pretty bad. The small hex screws along the top of the frame...

Will post a few photos shortly...we've just arranged a facility to do the work, and will be moving the deuce in shortly. We also have a 1984 Iltis in decent condition, with an m101 trailer in really good shape.
