    CUCV steering column removal

The wiper portion still works but the turn signal lever is flopping around and the turn signals do not work. . I was told by the mechanic the turn signal lever goes into a small plastic piece and that's what's broke?

    CUCV steering column removal

Hi thanks. the only reason I'm doing this is because the plastic turn signal piece that the turn signal lever goes into is broke. I can't find it so I'm removing the whole column on one of my old ones. Any idea where I can get the little plastic piece the turn signal lever goes into or maybe a...

Hey All. I have a BADLAND APEX 12,000 lb. Winch with Synthetic Rope that I'm going to have installed on my 1984 CUCV. I was wondering if I can see some photos of winch installs others have done. I plan on having it installed on the front tow hooks. Also anything I should know about the wiring...

Gas millage dropping down from 18 MPG to 15 MPG

Hi all my 1984 CUCV MPG has dropped for no apparent reason. I've replaced the air cleaner but not the fuel filter. I'm thinking about taking a almost new fuel filter off a non working CUCV that maybe had 1000 miles on it before it was totaled and putting it on my running CUCV. I was wondering...

    Sagging door of doom

I have the same problem. When I asked about it on here almost everyone said if the door bolt didn't have the plastic piece on it I need to replace them. I bought some on Amazon but waiting for a little warmer here in Indianapolis to actually do it. I'm hoping it fixes my problem?

    Sagging door of doom

Hi All, I know this is an old thread but I have a question. On my 1984 CUCV , the drivers side door closes very hard. When I slam it hard enough it closes and it's very tight. I'm wondering if all I need to try is loosening the striker bold and adjust it some? I do not any type of bushing on...

Hi All. I have another issue i can't get solved. My tailgate will not open. It used to just fine, but after I replace the mechanism for the window to go up-and-down, it got harder and harder and now will not open. Luckily, I still have the metal plate off of the inside over the back of the...

    No brake lights?

Hey All. I got laid up and just now getting back to this. I've confirmed the 30 amp fuse is good. Although the 10 amp fuse right above that was bad so I replaced it. Getting to the brake switch was difficult but what I was able to do was get it disconnected. I assumed the switch makes a short...
