i have both 802 and 002 i use 7.5 kw when load testing my 002 and it could take more doesnt stuggle at all. same load on my 802 and it does works hard to keep up. my opinon the 002 is more robust.
dont forget to remove the nuetral/ground bond at the gen. if your connected to your house. its the 6 gauge wire coming from the back of ac output box to the back of the generator ground nut.
the paint is ppg automotive. the fella at the paint store shot the color from inside a piece of sheet metal from a 002 kinda a dark forest green color. kinda a simi flat cures very fast. ive used this paint on all my gens. more examples of this paint can be seen in my album under my profile...
did you try saturn surplus? i might have a few used. k3 is shutdown, k1 run, k4 start. k2 start by pass. the relays are all the same and are also used in 002 and 003 control panels. ive also seen them for sale on ebay. good luck
i would think water could reach the head if the cover were missing. the inlet to muffler from the head is at the bottom of the muffler. i tried to attach an old picture.
replace the ball joint sounds wore out. ive had them with a small crack along the threads and also egg shaped on the inside to were their no longer a snug fit. they do pop off with a little force but shouldnt just fall off.
sounds like dc reg. or stator. the reg./stator is located under the blower sheet metal up front. also check the fuse located on the sheet metal above the oil filter. you might wont to check out the tms that are available on this site. I don't know of anything behind the control panel that would...
ive had mine since 06 and used it through several hurricaine outages (300 plus hrs). very quiet compared to the 002. never had any major repaires just maint. issues. ive seen some 802s go anywhere from $1800.00 and up. they dont come up often though. good luck
I looked in the tm and couldn't find the fuel line manifold in it. must be in the engine parts manual. their was a fella on ebay that had some but couldn't find it their either. so you would have to go to lister/petter web sight, the engine is a lpw2
ambac international, kt85236 kit, is whats on their pakage i have in front of me. i went to their site and didnt find this # so i would call them and give them this #. its been 2years since i got these.
