    Mep-009b question about speed switch

Hello, We have an MEP-009b. All was good but for awhile until one day it would not start using the start switch. However, if I jumped the starter it would start and run as it should. I found the relay/circuit breaker hot in the governor adjustment box and the speed switch on injector pump was...

    M1078A1 Axle Shafts Removed

Thank you. I found some already but I will keep you in mind if I need anything else. The truck was damaged in the transport to my location so I know I will need something else sooner than later. Jim

    M1078A1 Axle Shafts Removed

Hi, We just received an M1078a1. The axle shafts were removed for towing and are not with the truck. Does anyone know if the axle shafts for the M1078 and M1078A1 are the same? Thanks. Jim

Hello, I read the other thread about this same issue but I do not believe it is my ECM. Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot this engine to rule it out or the sensors or the pump? Thanks in advance for your time Jim

MEP 805B Exciter Stator and Rotor

Hi, My 805B 30KW is finally starting but my field will not flash. After troubleshooting I found my exciter stator and rotor windings have separated. It looks as if they were stuck together because of water or frozen water and somebody tried to start the generator and boom they came apart. The...

    MEP-805B Will not Start

Yes. I disconnected batteries several times. Batteries are full charge. I am aware of usable on codes. In a past life I was a motor sergeant and thought I got away from this stuff but here I am 20 years after I retired playing around with used military generators that were not even in the...

    MEP-805B Will not Start

Yes I did do that. I will try again. Can the I/O module have anything to do with this?

    MEP-805B Will not Start

None of the rheostats are on 0. I did check continuity not for resistance there on wires to actuator from P5.

    MEP-805B Will not Start

I did adjust the mag pickup and that is lighting on the speed control when I crank now. DC power is on and the speed sensor light is on when I crank. Nothing else.

    MEP-805B Will not Start

I have the cubicle off and have removed, cleaned, and tightened all connections, backplane, and terminals.

    MEP-805B Will not Start

No it does not. As soon as I remove the hot wire it dies. I checked ohms and actuator is okay. I do not have required voltage at the white wire while cranking to supply the actuator and adjust speed accordingly.
