DUKW from WWII is 33' long, GPA amphibious Jeep looks nothing like this either. I think it's one of the experimental models that come up once in a while, I would gladly buy it if it were near me in Virginia and you had no interest.

Went down to local Air Park, hoisted a Nike Missile with launcher out of ground it has sat in for the past 50+ years, got stuck,(Swamp, and front axles not turning) got unstuck, loaded trailer, crawled the wrecker along with no signals, no power brakes and made it 15 miles to the new location...
No, the TM's keep it much simpler than that. (they just can't illustrate that darned access hole I'm mentioning), I may have to cut in the bottom of the crowd boom open...not the main boom. Extend it all the way out, a "window" or open area for inspection/adjustment should become visible. I...
I saw in the TM that there was supposedly a square cut out area under the boom (Main boom not extension) where you could get to the packing gland at the rear of the main boom cylinder. Our '67 truck doesn't have the cut out area....
Does anyone have this feature, and is it a MWO to cut one in...
Be careful here, this then makes it a commercial license requirement...
I can drive my M921 around all day long as long as it's for me, or supporting my Son's Scout Troop or the local museum as a donation of my services, but if I charge...some Paper Nazi will hunt me down for a violation.

I bought a dual wheel lift at DRMO a few years back that sits idle 99% of the time. Basically you jack the truck up to get weight off the tires, stradle the Duals from the outside, crank the handle and it will lift the the tire assembly up while still mounted on the hub, allowing you to remove...
In the interim, weld in a seat, add a Deuce engine and transmission in the back and go have fun.
I have an M4 Sherman in the back yard that could use boggies and the finals drives (only if they fit the M4....) I suspect that is the remnants of the high speed tractor though, and those parts are...
Mine (M543A2) leaks a small river when I extend it, the **** TM tells of a rectangular hole that you can move the boom out to and then tighten the front sealing nut...well the TM was written by someone not looking at the wrecker in my case.... No hole, no plate covering a hole, no way to access...
Weapons mounts are fine, but I think the real reason so many are out there surplus, was in-service, we merely rotated the M16s upside down and used the window elbow wing nut to secure them along the dash/window. if your rotate the nut, they lock in as if it was designed just for that purpose...
Old thread, but could the belt be stiff, causing it to have to straighten out after leaving the pulley, then bend back at the next pulley, similar to a cold low pressure tire inducing a bump till its warmed up, or holding the bump in memory (basically a stiff spot) and creating a vibration.
Just...
I think I need O-rings too, and doubt there's an exploded view, only the part swap which is TM 9-2320-260-34P-1 section II figure 76 page 76-1 (somewhere around Page 164 of the whole manual from what my printer said)
O-rings are cheaper than a $35 part, you can Google the stock number 5110760...
Referring to Throttle speed, mine was a former Fire truck conversion which incorporated a vernier style round knob to adjust the throttle. Helps to quickly set the idle at any speed I want without pushing and pulling a knob. Simple twist or two and speed is up or down. I think the same control...
Reference the question on the tall bumper, not trees, but Camels... They tend to fly into the crew compartment over the hood if hit with enough speed, just like a deer and a small car do.
Only in Iraq it was Camels, hence the tall bumper on a fast moving cargo supply truck.
