I'm just curious if anybody has done it.
I am not satisfied with lack of low gearing in my Tactical Truck Corp. LMTV prototype and am either going to fit it with a 2 speed transfer case or sell it. It has the same driveline as the S&S, only powered by a Cummins C motor.
Sorry that it has been such a long time!
I am researching mounting dual caliper hydraulic disc brakes on my Rockwell H172 rear axle in preparation for Casa's 2024 remodel and landed on SS because of the M35 axle brakes swaps people have posted here... And I thought I'd offer a "howdy" to you...
Now that I have decided the use A3 rims for my Conti 365/80 R20 Tires On Casa Azul, I now have the dilemma of the rear wheels (offset facing outward) being 4.5" more narrow than the fronts (offset facing inward)...
That seems too much to me, so I am planning on machining 2 offset spacers 1.25"...
Thank you all for your input!
The attached image is a comparison of the reverse engineering I did on the MRAP & A3 rims. My first thought was the would be no way the Conti 365/80 R20 would loose a bead in the taller MRAP rims & I could make sealing rings that could fill the gap made by the...
365/80 R20 MPT Conti's on Aluminum MRAP Rims
Has anyone tried this??? I have done countless searches, talked to "experts" and have only come up with ... Maybe.
Yup! I tried to call Fabco several times today but could not get through. The bay area is getting hammered by a HUGE-arse storm. After looking at the case, my guess is that the offset can be swapped. We'll see.
The cool thing is that I am in no hurry. I've let Libelula just sit for a few years...
WOW! I wana try some of whatever you are smoking!
Funny you should mention that... I have this Fabco TC-38 that I originally bought to fit into Casa Azul, then opted not to. I have to do some "sussing" to see if i can make it work.
BTW: The scrambler in the backround has an Atlas in it.
Thanks Gringeltaube!
Besides the info... I love your drawing style.
So i can presume that there is no output shaft offset (left or right) then? The dropbox component of the MD3070 has a 16" drop and a 9" offset to the left. I'd like to stick to Rockwell military t-cases, however i have not...
Hey Guys,
I've have attempted to search down some rough transfer case dimensions for both deuce and 5 ton's and have had no luck. Would one of you military truck "whizend onces" please share with me where i can find info like drop, offset, and rough dimensions of the range of t-cases.
I am in...
