    MEP 802A outside panels

Hello everyone, Has anyone one been able to see where they can get the NSN's for the panels on the outside of the generator? The parts TM gives me parts numbers but they arnt in the system and im having a hard time locating and useful manuals. The parts numbers I have don't cross reference to...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Im not sure yet. still trying to get stuff figured out. Im thinking you may be right though. Although I can "see" that I have a CTIS module connected, I can not actually perform any tests on the Databus software that is CTIS related. Im wondering if I might have to go through the STA/ICE port...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

I have to say, ive only changed out one transfer case in the larger trucks and it was out of a PLS. When I have some time ill have to post that up with pictures. that was fun. instead of dropping the Tcase, we lifted the PLS up and then Pallet jacked it out from under it. It was pretty cool. Way...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

No I don't have the Y cable. hat would make things a lot easier on both our ends. But the Dearborn Protocol III adaptor I have is suppose to be able to hook into the J1708 databus and control things that way, similar to an OBDII kind of deal. According to the Dana tech guys, I can use the Dana...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Yeah, that's what I was thinking in that the trans controller shouldn't go bad especially since its still shifting the vehicle just fine and no other hiccups. I called Dana to see what their take is on it and I might have a solution, but I need to get the software on my Dearborn protocol up and...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Ordering the TCM is my last resort... $2500 of tax payers money on the line there.

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

That wire bundle has the diff lock and the PX71 output speed sensor twisted pairs inside the transfer case. I also tested that wire set just to make sure there wasn't any breaks inside the transfer case to the sensors. All checked out. Mind you, if you ever do this, make sure you have something...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Oh ok, so it is a WTECIII. It is in the passenger kick panel. So far the new engine came with a new magnetic pickup im assuming this is for engine RPM reference since this sensor gets its from the engine bell housing (takes its signal from the flex plate) and goes to a frequency converter...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

And I did think maybe I did pinch a wire or nicked something, but if you have seen how the wiring harness is removed from the engine prior to engine removal, its nearly impossible unless your careless. most of the wiring harness is on top of the engine save for the bundle that runs down to the...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Im pretty sure its a WTEC 2. This M1083 is just a M1083. Its not even an A1. Its an MTV in its most basic form. The scanners don't even pull up any names on it, like the newer LTAS models we have. I found it weird when I went checking around the wheel hubs to find it doesn't have any wheel speed...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Oh and ive checked the grounds on the TCM and the CTIS. They seem to be good to go. No breaks or shorts that I can test.

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Well Ive actually hooked up a bunch of diagnostic computers up to this thing. Ive used the STA/ICE, snap on prolink (don't know the model off hand), ONETOOL with Dearborn protol adaptor, Allison program through the databus reader to make sure there wasn't any bugs in the trans module, save for...

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Good to know which module relies on which. I will have to do a check on this. Didn't really think the ground on the Trans computer could/would cause an issue like this, but at this point, anything is possible. I will check tomorrow and let ya know.

CTIS Overspeed indicator flashes at 30 mph

Alright, I have a M1083 MTV , Stewart & Stevenson built in 11/98 This is a service truck (Active in the military still) and I need some ones help. Once the vehicle get to 30mph, the overspeed lamp indicator on the drivers display flashes even though im not overspeeding. The vehicle drives fine...

    CTIS overspeed

I know this ones a bit old but Ive seen somewhere around here someone mentioning that they had a CTIC over speed lamp flash once speed is over 30 mph and everything seems to be running fine so far?
