    Manifolds R&R

Thank you guys very much for the pointers. I have already begun soaking the fasteners in penetrating oil and have noticed the limited wrench clearance on everything. :( I was hoping to leave the water manifolds on the heads if at all possible but realize it may not be an option. Where does one...

    Manifolds R&R

No loose fasteners in this case, I can see the gap where a section of gasket is missing. The manual states they come off together but go back on exhaust then intake, is that true? I am not sure which engine it is but its a 1970 A2 with a cover over the manifold heater that sits on top of the...

    Manifolds R&R

I have a couple exhaust leaks at the head to manifold intersection so I picked up a couple new gaskets and reviewed the TM's. It looks pretty straight forward but I am a one-man show, is it something I can do alone or will I need a helper to position/hold the manifolds in position during...

    M35a2 Steering Gear Bolts

I am missing the two aft bolts and the tie plate that hold the steering gear to the frame. They appear to be missing from the parts list as well in TM9-2320-209-20P but are shown in figure 135 (items 3 and 4). Are they truly not listed or am I just not seeing them? If they aren't in the list...

    Fuel pump quit

When I first got my M151 it didn't have the in-tank pump so I tried the inline pump, killed 3 of them in short succession. You may have better luck with the military or aircraft ones if you decide to go that route but those are expensive. I am working on a mod to install a 12 volt in-tank pump...

    M151A1 Rear Fenders

Cut offs would work just fine for me. I talked to TNJ last week (but not to John) and the guy said they only had new tops. Maybe I need to see if I can talk to John. I need all the way to the floor. I will give RivRad a call tomorrow to see what they say. Keep and eye out for some for me...

Hey Progun, sorry it has taken so long for me to reply. That is a siren and it does work. I think I am going to hold onto it for a while though.

    Name that part!

I considered it might be a clutch master setup but why the fancy clutch rod then? And I didn't think the M151 series ever came with a hydraulic clutch.

    Name that part!

It could be. I looked for other features on the vehicle to suggest other attachments but didn't find anything other than some odd brackets on the back floorboard. I will get a picture and post it.

    Name that part!

Quiz time! Can someone tell me what this part does or is supposed to do? It appears to be a hydraulic cylinder and was mounted to the floorboard below the clutch arm. The slotted yoke went around the clutch arm (rh side of the clutch pedal torque tube) and traveled with the clutch rod. The...
