    V-100 Crew Member Vietnam 71-72

OK guys, I just got back on after being gone for a few days. Some great pics and great info on this thread. I have a couple of things to add. 1) I believe it was on page 6 there are two photos of V-100 Flash. That is me driving in the first pic. Flash was my V and my other two crew members...

    New Guy Here

As for the V-100's of the 66th MP Co, we had the full support of the CO and BN commander. We were featured in The MP newspaper in Nam several times. It cost 2 cases of C Rations for an old Papa San in the village to paint the front. He did a great job. We used the Marvel Comic Super Heroes for...

baseballump, you are right about the 73's, we wanted to add something else to ours but were not allowed. Our supply Sgt had made a deal to get some mini guns to put on them but that was denied. We made out with what we had and our company had a great reputation. Thanks for all the warm...

V100 Pictures requested by SS Member

dittle, do you happen to know any of the details about this V-100 hitting a mine in Vietnam. Mine hit one on July 1, 1970 and it hit on the right front wheel into the cockpit, killing the gunner and wounding the other two crewmembers. I was on R&R and the guy taking my place was KIA.

    New Guy Here

New guy here, served as a Crewmember on a V-100 with the 66th MP Company in Phu Tai, South Vietnam in 1969-70. Worked convoy escort and security for most of my tour in gun jeeps and V-100's. Will gladly try and answer any questions I can about V-100's in Vietnam. I have an album with some...
