I have yet to change out my mounts but I READ on here that instead of mounts for a 6.2 diesel for some reason the CUCV needs the mounts for a 5.7 gas engine. Per NAPA the 6.2L takes a BK 6021251 and the 5.7L gas takes a BK 6021179 or BK 6022355 so you might look into that and see if that is...
Found a seller online who will sell you a downloadable copy of the TM/Manual here:

I just found and bought this as I had two of these given to me in a torn down...
This!
I just had to rebuild the transfer case and replace the adapter because I failed to have my rear drive shaft checked out after a catastrophic failure of the rear most U-Joint.
The drive shaft was bent by this failure and knocked everything out of whack but I didn't notice at 11 pm...
Did mine not to long ago. I removed the plastic and metal plates under the steering column. unplugged the wiring for the switch. loosened (but didn't remove) the small bolts holding the steering column plate to the fire wall. Then removed the bolts holding the column up under the dash (two I...
What about them looking it up by application? It might be that that part number refers to a type of pad that has been improved upon and discontinued. If they can't at least ORDER you a set of rotors and pads for an '84 Full Size Blazer, run don't walk away from this store.
just my $0.02...
I believe that you would want to ask for the parts for a '84 Chevy K5 Blazer. As I understand it, all the CUCVs were made to the '84 standard no matter the year to help cut down on parts inventory. There are a few exceptions (like my locking hubs in my '84 are a little different and take a...
New Shoes
Here is a pic with the new tires on. They seem to give plenty of traction (dragged a c20 suburban with the brakes locked in loose gravel yesterday) and the road noise is no worse than before with the 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Wranglers the government left on it.
I also installed a new...
Can you tell us which battery was dead (front or rear)? Is this truck still stock (any glow plug mods been done, or a 12v conversion)? Also, can you check for voltage at the glow plug relay on the firewall with the key on? Once we have a little more info, we may be able to help. Also, others...
Just pulled the trigger on a set of BFGoodrich Mud Terrains in 33x10.5x15. They had to order them in though, so another two hour round trip tomorrow to go get them put on. They cost almost as much as the truck ($1200.00)! :-( I found them cheaper, but for the other store to get them I would...
I would be concerned about your 12 volt accessories putting a load on your front battery with this setup. My dad used to be the fire chief in my home town. We had a couple of duces as fire trucks. They just tapped into the middle of the battery bank to get the 12v for the radios and light...
Hey All,
Long time lurker, but I figured it was time to show "The World" my truck. She is an '84 M1009 with about 53,000 on the clock. Got her from French Camp, Ca on 5/11 of this year. Found that she had a broken starter bolt, which was why they couldn't get her started and I got her fairly...
Education is almost always a good thing! As for what a relay does, you can think of it's function as a switch. It is a unit that allows you to control feeding power to a device that draws more amperage than you would want to directly control with your switch-sensor-whatever. So,to give an...
I would 2nd the frame mount hitch and tranny cooler. I would also add a trailer brake to the truck before I towed anything bigger than a baby utility trailer or bass boat. Do these things, and don't expect to fly up hills, and all should be good.
Good luck, if you do it let us know how it goes!
