I just bought my first deuce a few weeks ago.
M35a2 with winch and roof cutout for ring mount.
Is there a big truck shop anywhere in the Metroplex that knows the ins and outs of these?
I'd sure like to get it checked out...and have the parking brake fixed...before I get out on the road and...
Bought my first Deuce today. 1969 Kaiser with winch, buckboards and ribs sans top, and hardtop with ring mount cut out and cover. Actual ring mount assembly is gone.
Hercules multifuel, heater, turbo, power assist steering, eather injection, all there and in good order apparently.

Never having been to a government auction, I am curious. Looks like the auctions are advertised on Government Surplus Auctions at Government Liquidation then held on miltary bases all over the country.
Are these Deuces typically serviced or beat down to the ground?

Well I was wondering about the top now that you mention it.
I like the soft top for top down driving.....but I have a 1919A4 Browning and it sure would go well on a ring mount on top of a hard top....so I am conflicted..
