    M274 die-cast replicas

Congratulations. That is a very nice collector's item. First one I've ever seen. The fact it is dated is important too. Something I'm not quite certain of with the die-cast models. Just guessing they were made around 1957. Really appreciate you posting this picture. I'm sure that more than...

    M274 added to the family

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, the Ordnance Corps was my home for 28 years until mandatory retirement. Wanted to stay longer but there was this issue about the Congressional statute. Since you asked, here are my two Mules. The two seater is Jack. He is a Commander model from Mechanical Mules of...

    M274 added to the family

Just an observation: Basket case mules can run $1K - $2K. Motor Pool condition $6K plus. Frame off restoration / museum quality $10K plus. Something worth considering when "investing" in a Mule. A good ATV may run $10K. What will it be work in 5 years???? Maybe half. A decent mule will...

    M274 added to the family

Nice job! If possible, put it in a Veteran's Day parade and check out the grins from the crowd. Everyone loves those mules! :D

    M274 die-cast replicas

Trading cards??? That's a new one to me! No doubt that is awesome! :D I've been searching for about 2 1/2 years for anything mule and have never seen nor heard of a trading card. They must be extremely rare and you are one lucky owner! Were they made by Willys? Any chance we can see it here...

    M274 die-cast replicas

Brant, You are correct. It's likely the one you see here. I just about went nuts when I first saw this die-cast after seeing the picture of one in the Leatherneck magazine. It was at that time I decided to do a little research. The problem is that so little is officially known about them...

    Sling Load Photo

I found a photo in a Willys Motors magazine dated Jan. 1958 with a Mule sling loaded under a CH-34. I don't have it digital but could possibly scan it. Haven't seen any photos taken with a Huey. However, on "Mail Call" a while back I believe there was some video of Mules sling loaded under Hueys.

    M274 die-cast replicas

I'm new to this forum (first post). I'm trying to find any information possible on the die-cast models either made by Willys or a toy company for Willys in the mid to late 1950s. Best guess is that these were produced around 1957 and may have been used as a sales tool. These models are...
