I know this is an old thread, but I stumbled across it while doing some research.
On heavier class 8 trucks you usually see the Spicer 1241, it’s heavier built than the 7041.
if you want to get heavier than that most step up to the Fuller AT1202. It’s just a 2 speed but will handle quite a bit...
I’ve got a M35a2c that I’ve already added a rolling tailboard and a hyd HMMWV winch mounted in the front of the bed to take my S280 in and out. I’ve been thinking about some gin poles to enable to pick stuff up and move around.
I’ve searched high and low and have come up empty when looking for...
Well here it is. After I dug into it, it will be hard to get the EG22 to fit into the housing without a mill. I guess you could do it with a file or Drimmel, but you have to remove some aluminum to get it to fit. I kind of butchered this one doing some exploratory milling. I may make another one...
I know this is an old thread, but I was getting my deuce ready for the local Veterans Day Parade and noticed the blinker wasn’t working. Upon investigation I found out I had another bad flasher unit. I remembered this thread from years ago and pulled it up.
My goal is to mount a EG22 flasher...
Don’t know how I missed this thread until now, but I own a MF40 tractor. The one I have is a shuttle shift, and I’ve got a 3-point and PTO. This one appears to be a instant-reverse, which doesn’t work well at all with 3-point or PTO. On the instant-reverse tractors it has a torque converter to...
You can get a pressure gauge to measure the psi.
There is a pressure relief valve somewhere in the system, this controls max system pressure. The relief valve is often made into the control valve, but every system is different. Usually the pressure relief valve is adjustable.
You’ve got to...
He did a John Rambo at 1:00.
I have to admit, we did something kind of similar one time. I bought a deuce off of GSA as a parts truck that was already beat to pieces. After getting the truck home though, I put some batteries on it and it started right up and ran great. We ran it pretty hard for...
How much PSI is your pump putting out? When I first installed the dump on my deuce, I had a heaping load on and it wouldn't dump it without removing some first. I checked my pump, and it wasn't putting out but 1,500 psi. I bumped the pressure up to 2,500, and I have since dumped 8 tons (yes, I...
Been awhile since I’ve been into one (the post of mine you quoted is 10 years old), but I bet it’s just rust on the shaft. Clean the shaft really good and put it back together. I’d venture to guess that you would pull the winch off the mounts before you bent the shaft or drum.
