    You have to pump on the primer pump tell fuel comes out.

    On my trucks the short end is the tank it's on. The long end is the handle to turn it. But yours may be put on wrong.

    But it only turns 90 degrees. If pointed right that is the right tank and if pointed back that is the left tank.
