Are yours the "old style" mechanical dials or the electoronic digital LCD dials? I bought one from GL with the LCD dial and it takes some getting used to. You turn the dial and the number slowly comes to the setting. It doesn't have a set number of turns and is easy to overshoot the number...

Has anyone seen LED tail lights for the Chevy CUCV's? I've looked on line and found only a kit to refit them and they wanted about $300 for it.

Sounds like it is possible that one or both alternators are not wired into the system, which would explain the chaqrging issue. Hard to say what damage is done if there is 24 v in the 12 v circuits. Bulbs and motors (fan, wiper) won't like it too much, relays will tolerate it for a while if...

A lot depends on the condition and the model. A2 with singles and a recent overhaul or an A1 with worn out duals and in need of repairs makes a lot of difference.
