If it is a typo, then I must assume it was an attempt to write compression stroke and maybe got spell corrected to impression. I know that some of you have also replaced your injection pumps. Any memories on this?
Thanks for confirming my thoughts. I was figuring I would need to remove the valve cover. Are these gaskets durable enough to be reused? Also the TM refers to the "IMPRESSION STROKE". I've never heard of impression stroke. I was assuming that was the intake stroke. Can anyone confirm? I...
I had put my injection pump project on hold for a while. I am moving and needed to get some remodeling done on the house.
Last night I went out to remove the bad injection pump. Following the TM I turned the engine over by hand (at least 50 times out of frustration, literally) to align the...
Do I understand correctly that as far as the hydraulics go, the only prerequisite is that the implement lever be in the lowering position, before towing/winching?
There is a serious lack of trees in my part of the desert. I do have some elm, but they are so weak. I'm not sure they will work. Could I use a hi-lift somewhere instead? Like from the ROPS?
I do have a neighbor (a mile away) with a telehandler. I guess I could see if he is willing to help...
I've been searching the TM's and the forum. Unsuccessfully. Does anyone have an opinion (or reference) on the best way to go about raising the backhoe from the stowed position so that I can remove the FOPS and tilt the cab? The SEE is a non-runner, STILL. Replacing the injection pump...
Thank you! I have been so disappointed with the luck of the draw that I got with this thing. I feel so close to finally having it up and running. It's hard to have these little things holding me back.
So after going through every fuel starvation post I could find on SS for this beast I narrowed things down to the entire fuel system is crap! Well... ...at least mine was.
Kinked lines
Rotted fuel filters
Multiple cracked brass fittings (air leaks)
Broken internals in the lift pump
Corrosion...
I'm just one who likes to replace the failed component when possible. The cast housing, spring and push rod are all still perfect. Oh well, they're headed for the spare parts bin... ...I mean shed.

Thanks to everybody that have been helping me diagnose my lack of fuel issues. It was very clear to me that the base was also struggling to find the answer since a lot of the fuel components were unplugged or loose when my SEE arrived.
I think it's just been a combination of several things...
No she hasn't run since she arrived from the base. I can crack all the line fittings from the primer pump to the injection pump as well as the bleeder screws and get fuel to run out. If I unscrew any of the lines from the top of the injector pump to the engine they are dry despite lots of...
It's been a while. I haven't had much (any) time for my SEE since March.
She starts and runs... ...on ether.
I've dealt with a kinked fuel line, bad primer, rotten fuel filters, corroded prefilter, cracked brass fittings, only to find that no fuel is getting past the injection pump...
So I received my new primer pump in the mail. I put it in and same as before. I would have figured I would be moving more fuel up and out of the bleeder screws. I will review everything I can find on here with regards to bleeding the air out of the fuel system, but I've never had this much...
