    McGuyver's M101 trailer project

Yes, that's right. I just got lucky on Ebay. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    M101A1 Camper top

That's about the same year as mine. I've definitely used it to camp in, but I've never put a topper on it. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    M101A1 hand brake cable

Judging by the pictures of the axle spindle and brake shoes, I would say you've definitely got an A1. I had an A1, and it looked exactly like that. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    M101A1 hand brake cable

I had a hard time finding them too. Finally did, but not before buying a set where the cable is a few inches longer than it should be. It would work, but you would have to drill a new hole further down to attach it. I think some people have done this before. If you're interested, let me know...

    M101A2 Trailer Questions

They were only meant to be hinged/folded for transport on train or aircraft, with the "hinge" bolts loosened enough to accommodate the misalignment of the bolts. If you look closely, the bolts are not on a coincident axis to each other, so if you try to dump it, you will flex the brackets...

    Spare tire under trailer?

Couple of different styles I found when I searched: https://www.amazon.com/Lippert-159056-Spare-Tire-Winch/dp/B00JMHFK4S...

    Spare tire under trailer?

I've got an a2, so it might fit mine. I haven't checked yet however. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    Spare tire under trailer?

I've thought about doing this too. If you mount it right over the axle, then it would be easier to lift the tongue and maneuver the trailer when it's empty because it would be balanced... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

    M101A2 Trailer Questions

Yep, I could do that. Still have most of the other brackets. There's ever a big plate that I think acted like a shield for the tank that was still on the trailer when I got it. (The tank had already been removed, but the plate remained). Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

    M101A2 Trailer Questions

My A1 was a generator trailer with underslung fuel tank, but it does not have those lifting point U-bolts. By the way, the fuel tank is long gone, but I still have the fuel filler neck if some one wants to buy it. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

    M101A2 Trailer Questions

Lot's of penetrating oil, and work it back forth a little bit at a time while reapplying oil. I've freed up frozen brake levers that way before. Might work on the landing leg too. You might also try kroil... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Master Cylinder Differences for M101 Surge Brakes

Master Cylinder Differences for M101 Surge Brakes

No, my mistake. I should have paid closer attention to what you were writing. I think the cap with the tube on it probably keeps rain water out better. I pulled my low profile square top cap off recently and found traces of water in the reservoir. I suspect it got in there through the two...

Master Cylinder Differences for M101 Surge Brakes

Ok, looks like I'm chasing the wrong issue here. Looks like you have the right master cylinder, and are looking for the other cap? I never got one of the vented type, and just stuck with what it came with from Croft. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
