Adding pics to this thread to help others as my damper just came off, and this thread confused some in the first 2 pages. The damper is two pieces bonded together by rubber. As others have stated, the rubber is what performs the dampening that's crucial for the cam. So if the rubber lets go...
No worries! I have a deuce that I painted with behr over rustoleum red metal primer over 10 years ago and last summer I touched up a few rust spots that came through. The rust spots that came through were in your typical spots on the bumper, bed and fenders. I could hit them up with por 15 if...
This is my 24087 completed just before 4th of July. This was a color match and it IS a bit lighter compared to my jeep which was also done in 24087. As others have stated, I have had zero success in home depot getting ANY worker to find the FSS colors and I've been using behr for over 10...
For anyone who may come across this thread, and it's not limited to the M108, but all M35's, the issue was the magnetic starter relay on the passenger side of the block. I was able to jump the starter button and get power at the top of the magnetic starter relay. I then jumped the magnetic...
It's got the normal push button start of an m35a2 and it has the magnetic starter relay on the side of the block. That's what I'm leaning towards now and I'll test that tomorrow.

But the gauges all work fine. I'm thinking this may be multiple issues compounding the situation. I'm going to dig in deeper with the wiring schematic. Thanks for your help thus far.
Thanks for the reply. The neg cable is brand new. The pos cable to the wiring harness was cut about 2" and has a brand new crimped lug. The strands that are in the lug were not exposed before cutting and stripping it. That leaves just the pos cable that goes to the starter. I actually...
I have an M108 that has sat for a few years. I wanted to get her running again this spring, but she's giving me fits.
When I parked her, service lights, low air buzzer and pretty much all electrical items worked.
With the power switch off, or on, I get no service lights. When I turn the...
I have yet to hear from the other drivers insurer so a lot of what could happen at this point is pure speculation. But I do agree with most members that the insurance company will do their best to give me the lowest offer they can.
That being said, no good deed goes unpunished. Sometimes...
Thanks for the tip on the frame mounts. The frame itself is bent also, not just the front crossmember, but those pictures don't really show it well.
