    CUCV 24v to 12v How-To

    Hey I now have a hole new issue I did the change to 12vt dropped the extra alt and all that. Put in the 12vt starter hooked up the batteries and the starter took off. the wire for the starter is hot.     Stupid runaway starter

    I seem to have the same thing going on with my 86. I picked up a starter from the salvage yard and yes I know the starter is 12 volt. I need to know what I need to do to make the rig work on 12volt as I will never put an 24v radio in it
