What did you do to your deuce this week?

I think that camo would look great on the entire truck.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Learned a good one today about my LDS-465-A1. Ever since I bought this truck it has idled rough and smoked excessively, even at idle. Attempting to adjust the fuel pump did not help. Last night a friend found the manifold flame heater dripping diesel on the hot side of my turbo. Since then I...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Replaced the turn signal flasher unit and added a snorkel.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

New west coast mirrors, upper stone guard and a driver's spring seat. Weather was awesome this afternoon so I did the logical thing and went for a trail ride.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Interesting placement of the evaporator unit. On my first deuce I went the more traditional route. Bought a hose crimping kit, a vacuum pump and ac charging gauges. Worked fairly well but I think the condenser was too small for my Phoenix Summers. Since I now have an 80A alternator I am...

Trouble shot the turn signals. Need to replace the flasher unit........

What did you do to your deuce this week?

My first deuce had the thermocouple directly upstream from the exhaust gas side of the turbo. Ran 1100F and occasionally 1200F for short durations. Aluminum melts at 1425F. Had to pay attention as my pump was turned up.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Replaced the right steer brake hose (again) and this time no leaks. Made a minor +1/2 turn adjustment to the fuel screw on the LDS465-1A. Now it won't stall in 3rd gear. Much faster than my old deuce even with the LDT turned up.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Drove to the grocery store 5 miles away and back. Only lost about 3/4 oz of DOT5...... Other than that the brakes worked good. Finally got the parts to replace the right steer hose & banjo fitting. It's only Monday, still have the rest of the week to get to it......

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Ah yes, leaking DOT 5. I had so much fun replacing the right steer brake hose I'm going to do it again..........

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Windshield Wiper Upgrade. Replaced the standard issue air wiper motors with 24V "Jeep" motors and then cut the shafts down to fit. The standard 7" blades are a joke. These motors have 3/16" bayonet mounts on the arms. So United Pacific I/N 110424 is a 13" SS blade that fits nicely.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The airpack I bought "new" needed to have three of the threaded connections chased. Both hydraulic @ 1/2-20 and the rear mounting bolt @ 1/2-13. Greased the tap and then cleaned up with a box of Qtips. So far so good, brakes work good but are now a bit touchy.....

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Actually the first 3 bolts were easy. It was starting the locknuts on the alternator pivot bolts.........

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Next project. Replace the airpack and all five rubber brake hoses. Master cylinder, wheel cylinders and hub seals were replaced by the previous owner. Brake shoes all looked good.
