I understand this, and will start researching this, also. As the main reason for this truck will be to chase offroad races, the majority of witch will be down in baja California, AKA mexico.
Thanks for the heads up on that.
hydraulic ram connected to the turnbuckles is full hydraulic is it not?. nothing but hydraulic lines going to the ram... If i am mistaken, ill shut up and just go sit in my corner again.
That is to be decided, still researching options. Id like to go to hydraulic brakes... just gotta keep searching around and looking at options i guess. The air brakes just scare the **** out of me...
So, after tons of research and lurking here, as to avoid the hate people tend to throw around because i am 19 and theres no possible way i know what im doing, im going to pick up a m109 and expand from there. Youll just have to sit back, and watch as i go.
First thing id like to tackle is the...
having driven many, many ,many, many full hydro sterring vehicles at 100+mph i do not see any reason why it cannot be done. Only thing that can go wrong, is if you lose a hose or all your fluid. even if your pump completely stops, they still steer. it takes muscle, but its do-able.
thanks for the help.
It will rarely be driven in vegas. Mainly back roads and in Mexico for off-road races. I now only plan on getting one to use as a chase truck.
No, this is not a troll thread. I will be getting a deuce. If I cannot se it as a car hauler. I will use it as a chase truck. Brakes will be my first upgrade. Trust me. Ill reply better when I'm jot replying on my phone from a coffee shop in Baja California pre running for the score San Felipe 250
See, i have done a little reading! yes sir, i have read that.
But, when you bob them, with big tires i have read they are good up to 75! wich is more than enough. Only needs to do 65-70 for me to be happy. and if i can get 7-10 mpg at 70 mph id be STOKED.
You sir, Rock!
I do believe, i am going to get..... TWO! As time allows.
one with a flatbed that can hold the race truck and still do 65 mph through California legally as it is NOT towing a trailer.
and one with the box, For a communications rig/ place to sleep. When racing the baja 1000...
I build offroad race cars. I am very good at TIG and MIG welding and metal work/ fabrication. Currently building my own race truck. this will be my chase truck/ tow rig! Or even possibly i will build a flat bed for it to hold my race truck. We will see as time goes on. Need to get one first!
thanks for the welcome, and i apologize for my lack of info on these. After all, that is why i am here. i have already located some good info!
olive drab is really amazing!
thanks for pointing me in that direction guys.
ones a giant box on the back, and one is just a bed? Maybe i phrased my post wrong. One looks like a box truck, and one has something similar to a normal truck bed. Thats what i meant.
