What color is a CUCV II?
It’s not CARC. It’s some weird US Navy semi gloss. But not 24502, as others have said. It’s much lighter green than the USMC 24502. Almost a blue hue in there. No olive hue like CARC. Almost a forest service green.
Anyone have any ideas on the color code...
Finished the lift, wheels, tires, and brakes. I think it looks like an EOD beach buggy. Exactly what I was going for!
I used to be a 44b auto body tech/welder, so I’ll paint when it’s warm. The rotary surface finishing tool from Harbor Freight is my best friend and has been a gem while...
Galeo7171, yeah mine was a non running too. But a quick follow of the 6.5 guide at Accurate Diesel had me up and running in a couple days.
I put a PMD on it, 2 batteries and I was driving. I think 6.5 is super easy to work on. Really simple stuff. And the OBS Chevy is OBD II diagnostics...
Galeo7171, that’s amazing! Super low miles and desert sand!
If yall are looking for a lift? Better grab one. Rough Country is the only game in town now (Pro Comp is out.) and they say they’re running low on stock.
$1299 for 6” lift.
Here’s my collection of pics. All Pro-Comp lifts with a variation of wheels.

I will say, 90% of wheels are...
Okay Ya’ll. While we’re waiting for the new guy to join with his hot Texas truck. I wanted to ask if anyone has ever seen a CUCV 2 with a lift and 35” tires?
We all know the “EOD & SEAL Det” trucks. Freakin amazing balls!
I’ve seen every generation of Chevy and even the new Fords, with...
Biscuitwhistler, yeah I thought that was high. Historically I’ve seen LSSV’s with full pro comp lift and 35’s sell retail for $20,000. And they were very nice. Almost perfect restorations or low mile survivors. LSSV’s are way more popular than CUCV 2 and command higher prices.
So the...
So the super clean CUCV 2 in Texas went for $6,000 earlier today. That was a pretty one. It looked absolutely crystal clean in the photos. Nice buy whoever got it.
Also new. A GMT800 series LSSV, in Guam. I know Guam is a PITA, but check it out. Its pristine. The paint is not faded. It...
