I finally went with four 6TL wet cell batteries from O’Reilly Auto Parts. They have 750 CCA each, and weigh 73 lbs. apiece. Price was $203 each, then a 10% military discount. The two 6T AGM batteries I found were $499 and $799 each. The 6TLs were an absolute perfect fit in the original...
I'd appreciate it Russ. Did you use 4 car sized, or two large ones? I'd like to keep them in the regular battery boxes. If they get pulled out, there is more room. Cheers!
Hi Guys, I need to swap out the four sealed, fairly small, Hawker 12 volt starting batteries on my 1990 BMY M923A2 ROPS Frankencab. These are mounted in two removeable battery boxes in an outside compartment on the passenger side of the truck. They are an unusual size, slightly lower than...
Russ, I don’t have any photos handy, as I am currently sitting on an airplane, but I mounted one of the 6 HID/2 infrared lights light bars built for the Humvees. It worked perfectly on my Frankencab M923. It lights up the world! Cheers!

I'm quite happy with the cap from Those Military Guys. You need to keep the key inserted and rotated, retracting the locking pawl as you unscrew the cap.

Hi, I've got one. If you send a personal email, I'll get some pics to you. The roll cage in actually stainless steel. The upper portion is 3" outer diameter, and sits inside a larger 3" inner diameter lower tube.
I just installed one of the galvanized ones in the right rear of my 923A2 like everybody else. Used two pieces of heavy 2" steel angle, notched to fit. They will be welded to the bed frame, and the nuts will be welded, so that the entire crane can be removed, leaving a flush cargo bed. Also...
