Just following up. I had 3 flywheel bolts loose. I re torqued all bolts and started the truck with no transmission. Engine sounded great. Thanks for everyones help.
WOW, thanx tom. In that case ill get new gears. Thats what i get for relying on other websites vs research in TOs and research in this forum.

Your killing me...lol. Im going to run these teeth for now. I dont want to invest too much into this transmission. This is the last season for this transmission. Id like to put the Spicer 3053A in. It looks like the ratios in that transmission with benefit me better then the 3053
Both, the dirt has been cleaned up but its pitted. Swapping was easy, pressed off the old shaft, then heated the gears and dropped them on the new. All my gears are slightly pitted one side. The transmission looks like it sat unused in a moisture environment for awhile. But teeth are all in good...
Well Tom, I decided to take your advice and change all bearings. The old felt good, but there was just too much uncertainty the more I thought about it. Thanks
Yeah, Wiener told me they dont separate the gears from the shaft...its a all in one buy. You think the gear chunks made it to the bearings? I would figure they would have just fell and settled to the bottom like mine. As a precaution i still pulled the bearings and cleaned them, but they were in...
I just wrapped up work early to head down there and get mine. (20 minute trip) If you are buying a used one let me know and ill look at it before you buy and let you know if its good. --- no reason thats its bad..but you never know.
