When I initially looked at the problem I pulled the floor pan and found that the top plate on the transmission had obvious drips with several loose bolts (which I tightened up in the Barstow Station) - so I thought (hoped) that was the only leak and just topping it up would let me continue, but...
I plan to arrive early Friday morning. Weather forecasts say highs in the 90s, but winds less than 15 MPH - so don't forget plenty of cool refreshing beverages. See you out there.
Here's one of the camp on Sunday morning, and a little critter I found hiding under my camo net that morning (I scooped him into the clif-bar box and relocated him a couple hundred yards away from camp).
