Thanks! I can get that done. Just needed to know, anything is better than the wild ride that would result from improper torque values! Got my new alternator, and I might as well do the oil, coolant, and always fun zerk fitting search... You'd think I'd remember where they all are by now.
I've seen torque specs for the HEMMTT lugs, but not for torquing the wheel halves together. I'm putting new 46" Goodyears on 'er this weekend, and I while I like a good adventure as much as the next person, wheel, halves coming apart at 45mph is not on my bucket list. Any help would be greatly...
Would you please PM me the price and vendor info for the disk brake conversion? I'd love to convert to a disk brake setup, especially now that it is a bolt on system with the hubs reversed!
The gear oil looked great. This was the first time I noticed the heat, but never checked it before. I'll just run 'er and keep an eye on things. Thanks again for the help/info! Got to keep it in tip top shape, she's my favorite vehicle, a little expensive to fill up, but still the favorite.
Did that when I noticed the heat buildup. The heat is relatively uniform throughout the ring and pinion portion of the 3rd member, and gets cooler as you move from that area. Not hot enough to need to remove your hand, but hot enough to raise some concern.
