I'm sure you're right. I got a bit overzealous and paid $1500- and that was with the seller driving 5hrs to deliver it. I'll be interested to see what it looks like on the B-3-PW frame soon.
Thank you for the detailed response, Barrman. I knew it was a well cared-for bed, but I do feel like it would have to be modified for my PW. This civy PW has an 8ft bed with similar fenders, but not sure how much the front and back half of the bed would fit on my 52.
Thanks. I'm needing a bed for a 52 B-3 Power Wagon, and a complete bed for one of those is in the $2k+ region. This one is considerably cheaper, but I refuse to hack it up for a retro-fit, so I may see what it looks like on a civy Dodge.
May not be the paint's fault, but I'm not happy with the outcome of the cab on the WC52. I'm sure it's my fault and goofed somewhere, even though I have overthought this project from the start. The one detail that I'm seeing is that the painted parts that are still not hardening are those that...
OK- thanks. I may be overthinking the application. It is pretty tough, and the first coat was light. I sprayed it, and let it sit in a controlled environment shop for 4 months before I saw it again. One issue is that I initially got the paint in Satin. I have now returned to HD, got a batch...
Gents- I'm working on a 43 WC52 cab. I bought the Behr Marquis in satin, ensured the cab was as grease free as possible, and shot just one light coat over Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer. The Behr was shot un-thinned with a Graco sprayer, and left for 4 months to dry.
This is my first time...
Gents- I thought I would give some 'common sense' feedback to the forum.
I have been studying different colors and shades of olive drab for years in a decision to paint our WC52. I saw an example here on SS of a beautiful job on a Hummer. Well, we sprayed it on yesterday through our Graco...
Gents, my Son and I brushed on Rustoleum's Rusty Metal Primer on our WC52 cab. We have brush strokes because we're newbs, and we feel it's no big deal.
Once dry, we are going to spray Behr Marquis with our Graco sprayer- will the latex fill in those brush strokes, or should we sand before...
Tin, I took your opinion and those of a lot of SS members, and got the 360 VSP as well. I can't wait to use it in conjunction with that Behr paint! If it turns out half as good as your shelter, I'll be content..
Fantastic information, PW! Thanks much.
The reviews online appear to be somewhat favorable, and one commenter said that when his Graco wasn't pumping very well, that the (2) o-rings were easily replaceable from Ace Hardware, and he was back into business. Their customer service and warranty...
