The vent at the top of the breather was rusted shut. So the next best breather was the CTIS lines vent. Which performed flawlessly... :rolleyes:

I did find what looks like a damaged purge valve on one of them. Since I have everything off for paint, I might as well replace them.
Was just as simple as replacing a couple fittings?

Talking to one of my engineer friends… he’s is saying that the 1.85 VE used in the Donaldson calc equates to about 12.5 psi of boost.. probably 18 with losses. 33 PSI of boost would affect that VE number and probably needs to be accounted for.

Been communicating with Donaldson. Turns out.. page 12 of the 371 page Filter catalog has the calculations.
I provided input.

2400 max RPM.
The customer provided the following information:
Displacement = 7.2L
RPM under load = 2400...

I'm not affixing to the cab... mine will be attached to the forward most cross member.
Bracket is mostly made.. just need to test fit the boxes again and make finished the bottom mounting.
