    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Yes like how do you pull the 2nd hex value to get the how many bytes the data is, then reverse digits, then convert to Dec.

I went straight to 115200. Can you post your C code for the math, I would like to see if I can mimic it in python?

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Made some good progress today, I could not get the handshake to work, use pyserial so I just started sending the 44 request commands and it seems to return valid data. Here is what was returned from a non-connected DCS using @kloppk's table. As you can see there are some returns that are not...

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Also I have been trying to mimic @kloppk and @Icesythe7 code for getting the serial connection on the front to work but I am not getting the handshake correct.

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Yesterday, I was able to get to a running generator and got a lot more information. I have been looking into decoding this information and it seems like some might match SAE 1939 specs and some the math is off or there is no data in the SPN where I know something should be. 18DF00DC DF00...

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Are you just connecting CAN H to K and CAN low to L? are you connecting grounds to the CAN signals? I am only getting error frames when connected and I know my CAN reading Hardware is setup correctly as I now have multiple hardware setups and can pass CAN data between them, just not the DCS...

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

I do not have an scope. When I connect a multimeter, I get 3.3~ volts across K to ground and 1.75V L to ground. These voltage never seem to change. You mentioned doing something to send Canbus data. What else other than connecting k and l to send Canbus?

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

That is an expensive can to USB, from your message it looks like you are able to get some, if only the same 3/4 messages, from the CAN bus? Do you know what the CAN baud rate is? I have tried my jetson Nano, and Arduino Uno, and nothing is getting any bus data. The adaptor I have has a 800MHZ...

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Tonight I tested CAN, I was not able to get any data, I see that I get the CAN BUS fault after about 3-4 mins of the DCS being on, so I am assuming it is trying to establish a connection over CAN bus. I have a Jetson Nano with a CAN to SPI transceiver. I tried with and without the 120 OHM...

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Ok. I will try pin I to ground and see what happens. I know ilthe RMT connects to the DCS when hooked up. Tested it before pulling out DCS. Not sure what is causing the issue. I have the COM port setup and I can see it connects but I am assuming it does not get the right signal telling it it is...

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

I am going to start testing the can system tonight when the kiddos are in bed. Did you get the remote software working with your dcs while not connected to a generator? If so what other pins donyou have connected?

    AMMPS Generator Series Remote Data

Ok, got the dcs bench powered and the invalid genset fault cleared. Now when I try to connect with the remote monitor tool it gives me a "Remote Monitoring tool supports MPC3330 & MPC3332 devices only." Error. I suspect there are more pins that need to be activated.

On the CAN front no, but I think Kloppk will have an update on the serial data.

Here is my setup, Also when I only connected A and f the screen did turn on. Do now to look for Canbus data.

Just to clarify RTN is the negative wire back to your DC power supply?
