    Alternate Alternator Selection

It was very easy to mount and I was able to use the original belt

    Alternate Alternator Selection

I really appreciate the info in this thread. I picked up this 24v alternator https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BFT4416K?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Used one of the 100 amp bussmann equalizers P/N 21100E00 And dumped the dual voltage junk on my 2004 m1088a1 I just drilled out the top...

    Cross Country in an M820

If you are going to be driving at night I would highly recommend some LED headlights. Watertight storage options for some things in the cab, if it rains hard you will get wet. A nice bluetooth headset like these http://www.lg.com/us/bluetooth-headsets-headphones/lg-HBS-820-Black-tone-ultra...

    M915 opinions wanted

Ive driven put a lot of miles on both the cat and allison. The allison is much easier to drive, kind of like a big suburban, the cat requires constant shifting(if you are hauling corn/soybeans). Tough to drink a cup of coffee in the cat unless you are tooling down a flat stretch. The cat is...

    M920 going strong

I took out the spacer under the fifth wheel but the taller tires make it about the same height. At 5'8" I can tilt my head and walk under the trailer at the back of the truck

Big Cam 1 400hp Cummins turned up a little.

    M920 going strong

95000 pounds but we have a 15% exception during harvest for crops direct from the field and I can be 109250 lbs.

    M920 going strong

In addition to the M1088A1 my 915A1s and M920 are contributing to harvest again this year

    M1088A1 on the farm

I'm really liking my M1088A1. It's getting a good workout during harvest. It handles great off road. So far it's only been running a mile or two so I haven't had a chance to see if my scoop on the front will help the engine fan stay off for a longer period of time. I will know later this week.

    MPG loaded, m915 vs M916 vs M920 ?

I have 4 915a1 trucks and 1 915. The 915 has been sitting for a few years because I was tired of the hassle shifting it. It needed air pressure over 100psi to shift reliably which was tough if you like to use the brakes. I robbed the drivers seat and headlight switch, the parts that roll up...

    MPG loaded, m915 vs M916 vs M920 ?

My 915A1 with 395 tires runs 68 mph. The 5 speed Allison is super easy to drive, far better than the 16 speed cat. I've hauled hundreds of thousands of bushels of corn and soybeans using both trucks. I would much rather drive the Allison. I have a 915 that is a finicky shifter and needs some...

    First run M1088A1 vs M915A1

I ran an even 58 mph coming home weighing 28700 pounds empty. The engine cooling fan comes on every 45 seconds and runs for almost 30 seconds. It is pretty loud. It engages at roughly 215 degrees and brings the temp down to approximately 195 degrees. Apparently there is not much natural air...

    First run M1088A1 vs M915A1

That is correct. Like the m915 series trucks, the m1088a1 has both electrical hookups for 12v and 24v.
