Your relay in your PCB box has welded the contacts together, now the relay stays connected all the time. You will need to do some testing to be sure of this but it's just the first thing that comes to mind

You could take the wheel/tire off and let it down on the ground.

Haha, when I swapped over to super singles I got the wheel covers with the wheels. I kinda liked how they looked so i'm still running the covers.
