    MEP 003A Battery over charge

    Does anyone know why the battery regulator, about a minute after starting the generator, fails and over charges the batteries (over 30vdc)? The stator, prior and after regulator failure, generates a stable 33vac. I replaced the regulator with a new OEM regulator and the very same thing happened.
