Wiring harness cut/hack/piece, cannon plugs, etc.

Yeah, I'm on it. I said that I didn't have the same thickness of insulation...not wire thickness. All wiring, except for noted circuits in the manual, is 14 guage. The old wiring seems to have nearly twice the thickness insulation as to what you can buy today. I have checked several of my...

Purchase of new M35A2C from Goverment Liquidation

All this talk about buying from GL reminds me of a discussion a buddy and I had in the Columbus DRMO once. We bought 3 trailers, bought them sight unseen, only from the pics on GL. When we got there, I'd swear that what we bought was NOT what the pics were. Anyway, we decided then and there...

    Getting started - costs involved?

I'll tell you, if you are planning a restoration project...just go buy one that's done already. I bought 3 G749's ( a 215, a 211, and a 135) from an old farmer 3 years ago. I paid $500 for the lot. I'm still in the process of restoring the 215, it should be done in time to make it to Findley...

M-135 wheel bearing adjustment and brg cup seating

Yeah, seems that the manuals indicate there is a remover/replacer for everything on these trucks. For the wheel bearing nut, I just made a sheet-metal socket, works like a charm. As far as the bearing race, I just set mine with a punch.
