Transmission Cooler Line Leaks FMTV
When I was still in ARMY we had a transmission line completely pull out of transmission. Took the threads out of transmission body. We ordered new line as well as transmission. New lines were flexible ones, probably similar to one's you had made. So it may be a common occurrence. -

cab air springs
Like what was mentioned earlier. The cab leveling valve is tied into the CTIS and also the engine fan. When I went to the maintenence class this was pointed out. The pins are only used for air transportation only, in conjunction with the front suspension pull down cylinders and the kneeling... -

unidentified item in Battery box "What is it?"
if its the round black item, its for checking the level of the electrolyte in the lead acid batteries. level only not specific gravity. -

FMTV won't start
you can also remove the K1 relay and jump it north south. pins 30 to 87. just have green power switch on.
