The alternators I have seen hang about a foot below the blower fan, a good distance below the mag. The mag should be water proof along with the water shielded plug wires, are they not. As long as air intake stays above water, all else I thought would be water safe.

Many of the Mules have added alternators. What do you do when you know the alternator will be below water level when fording?

The specs list the tread of mule to be 40.5 inches. My question is, that distance is measured from what two points? The center of tire or the out side surface of tire? Simple question is, what is the distance from the outside of the front tires? Or better yet, how wide a trailer is needed to...

I read that both the carb and fuel pump on mule is usually a problem to the new improved gas we now buy at the pump. What as the best replacements for these Mule parts? Is a rebuild of carb and pump the way to go, or replacement with new, different than original items? Thanks

Yes, live in Winder, hoping to acquire Mule next month. Have been told that one would be ready to go then. Have been wanting one for bout 30 years now, now retired and ready to enjoy one.

The Mule has a tow bar which was to be used to tow Mule behind another vehicle when disabled, needed to use as trailer. What was maximum speed possible to tow safely? Thanks Skeeter
